PM Narendra Modi Begins Two-Day Sikkim Visit, Arrives in Gangtok Today

PM Narendra Modi will arrive in Gangtok today for a two-day visit to Sikkim. He will participate in the closing ceremony marking 50 years of Sikkim’s statehood at Paljor Stadium. During his trip, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several projects worth 4,000 crore rupees.

Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister will join a road show from Biralu Dwar to MG Marg this afternoon. Later, he will meet with BJP workers. The Sikkim government will host a grand cultural event called ‘1000 Steps of Unity,’ featuring nearly 1,500 artists. Mr. Modi will also speak to the crowd at Paljor Stadium. His visit is a significant event in the Golden Jubilee year of Sikkim’s statehood and shows the Modi government’s ongoing support for Sikkim’s rapid and sustainable development.
