A fire broke out in a private travel bus near KPHB Colony in Hyderabad late Friday night, April 17, 2026, causing panic. The bus was headed to Palakollu in Andhra Pradesh.
The incident was reported around 10:45 p.m. near Hyderabad Metro pillar number 734. The bus had come from Miyapur and was parked near Padmavati Plaza, waiting to pick up passengers.
Private Bus Catches fire in Hyderabad
Preliminary investigations showed that the fire started in the driver’s cabin because of an electrical short circuit. There were about 18 passengers on board at the time. When the driver noticed smoke coming from the cabin, he and all passengers evacuated safely.
After receiving the report, a fire truck arrived and brought the blaze under control. While no injuries were reported, the event briefly disrupted traffic in the busy area. A further investigation is ongoing.
