A tin waiting shed collapsed at Charbagh Railway Station in Lucknow on Friday, injuring two passengers. The incident occurred late in the morning on Platform number 5. The metal roof fell on passengers, trapping two under the debris.
Tin Shed Collapse at Lucknow Charbagh Station, 2 injured
They were rescued by the Railway Police and local rescue teams. The Northern Railway announced that the Site Engineer responsible for the incident has been suspended immediately. The company that had the contract to build and maintain the sheds will face heavy penalties. Additionally, the Northern Railway stated that a high-level committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
