DSP Rishikant Shukla, placed in Bhogaon, Mainpuri district, has been suspended in connection with the Akhilesh Dubey case in Kanpur. A vigilance investigation against him has begun. The Kanpur Police SIT claims that Shukla owns benami properties valued at over ₹100 crore.

The SIT report shows that 12 properties under Shukla’s name have an estimated market value of around ₹92 crore. They could not obtain documents for three additional properties, but these properties linked to his PAN number.
The report highlights that Shukla assigned to Kanpur city for 11 years, from 1998 to 2009. During this time, he close to Akhilesh Dubey and his gang, who accused of filing false cases, extortion, and land grabbing.
Officer denied allegations
DSP Rishikant Shukla denies these allegations, labeling them as baseless. He worked as an ASI from 1998 to 2006, as an Inspector from December 2006 to 2009, and later promoted to DSP in Unnao.
According to a source in the SIT, CO Santosh Singh, Vikas Pandey, and Rishikant joined with Akhilesh Dubey to form a construction company.
In this company, Rishikant’s wife Prabha Shukla, CO Pandey’s brother Pradeep Kumar Pandey, and Santosh’s relative Ashok Kumar Singh teamed up with Akhilesh Dubey’s son Akhil and nephew Satvik. The company handles construction-related work.
