West Bengal BJP Government Clears Encroachments
On Sunday, West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh reaffirmed the government’s commitment to taking serious action against illegal constructions and encroachments across the state. Speaking to reporters in Kharagpur, he said, “Bulldozers will roll across the entire country. Wherever there is illegal construction, bulldozers deployed.
The new government that has come to power here in Bengal has started this process from day one. I urge anyone involved in illegal activities to follow the law, and the government will assist them. We will not tolerate any form of encroachment on government land.”
How does Minister reacts?
West Bengal Minister Agnimitra Paul defended the demolition actions, stressing the importance of due process. “If there is illegal construction, we will send you a notice and ask for the document. We will not let you continue if you don’t have any documents. We will certainly give a time limit. We not in a hurry,” she said.
BJP leader Rudranil Ghosh also backed the demolition drive, criticizing the previous Trinamool Congress government for not addressing illegal constructions.
