Public IP Addresses

Public IP address is assigned by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and allow devices to communicate with other devices across the internet. Websites, servers, and public-facing devices typically have public IP addresses to facilitate communication with the broader online network.

Private IP Addresses

Private IP addresses are used within local networks, such as home or office networks, to enable devices to communicate with each other. These addresses are not directly accessible from the internet and are reserved for internal use only.
