‘Doge’ meme replaces Twitter blue bird logo

Twitter new logo

Once again, Twitter CEO Elon Musk has updated the micro-blogging site, replacing the iconic blue bird logo – which has served as the web site’s home button – with the doge meme of Dogecoin.

On Monday, Twitter users noticed the ‘doge’ meme, which is part of the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency logo and was created as a joke in 2013.

The ‘doge’ meme (which features the face of a Shiba Inu) also appears in Musk’s hilarious post where he tells the police officer seeing his driving license that his photo has been changed.

Twitter’s mobile app did not change.

The doge image (of a Shiba Inu) is well-known as the logo of the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency, which was created in 2013 as a joke to mock other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.

Musk also shared a screenshot from his conversation with the anonymous account on March 26, 2022, where the latter requested the bird logo be changed to “doge.” Musk wrote, “As promised.”.

Musk, who bought Twitter last fall in a USD 44 billion deal, is a fan of the Doge meme, and he promoted Dogecoin on Twitter and during his appearance on “Saturday Night Live” last year. Dogecoin’s value soared by 20 percent after Twitter changed its web logo on Monday.

According to Musk, failing to adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy given that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square. What should be done? Musk tweeted in March 2022.

According to @WSBChairman, “just buy Twitter… and change the bird logo to a doge.” Musk replied, “Haha that would be sickkk.”.

Additionally, he posted another photo stating, “Seize the memes of production.”

Musk’s love for ‘doge’ was evident when he posted the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency logo to his twitter account with the caption, “The new CEO of Twitter is amazing.”.
