Authorities have identified 5 terrorists — consisting of 3 Pakistani nationals — in behind Tuesday’s Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, the Pakistani terrorists have been recognized as Asif Fauji (code-named Moosa), Suleman Shah (Yunus), and Abu Talha (Asif). The other two attackers are revealed to be local militants: Adil Guri from Bijbehara in Anantnag and Ahsan from Pulwama.
Both Guri and Ahsan reportedly undergoes training in Pakistan in 2018 and had return to the Kashmir Valley lately. Fauji and Shah, meanwhile, had been active in Jammu and Kashmir for some time and are suspected of involvement in earlier attacks, which include in the Poonch location.
NIA Agency Revealed sketches of 3 suspects of Pahalgam terror attack

Inspector General Vijay Sakhare Perform Investigation in Kashmir
A NIA investigation team headed by Inspector General Vijay Sakhare, is worked in Srinagar and has taken over the probe on Pahalgam terror attack, with support from Jammu and Kashmir Police. Officials also confirmed that the position of Saifullah Kasuri — a deputy to Lashkar-e-Toiba leader Hafiz Saeed — is under scrutiny.
In a video shared on social media in February, Kasuri had state, “Kashmir become the ‘land of the pure’ by February 2, 2026,” and warned of escalating militant history in the area.
