India has taken a series of strong measures after Pahalgam terror attack, including suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, 1960, and remaining the Integrated Check Post Attari with instant impact. The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) reviewed the overall security state of affairs in its meeting at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s house final evening and directed all forces to maintain high security.
India Seals Check Post Attari
Briefing media in New Delhi last night, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that Pakistani nationals will not be authorized to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) visas. He further stated that any SVES visas issued in the beyond to Pakistani nationals are deemed cancelled. He said any Pakistani national capital currently in India under an SVES visa has 48 hours to leave India. The Foreign Secretary informed that the Defence/Military, Naval and Air Advisors in the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi were declared Persona Non Grata.
He emphasized that they’ve per week to leave India. India might be withdrawing its own Defence/Navy/Air Advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. Mr Misri stated that these posts in the respective High Commissions are deemed annulled. 5 support staff of the Service Advisors can also be withdrawn from each High Commissions.
CCS Express condolences to Victims Family
Foreign Secretary stated will be added right down to 30 from the prevailing 55 through similarly reductions by 1st May.
