The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Thursday will starts its 3-day meetings with District Congress Committee presidents at its headquarters in Delhi. After Congress to start 3-days meetings, the first batch meeting held on Thursday, while the closing rounds schedule on Friday and April 3.
The conferences are in accordance with the proposals discussed at an AICC assembly – attended by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha – closing week to restructure the party organisation, with the district systems being central to its structure.
The idea is to decentralise decision-making powers at the party. To this end, a committee has been shaped, led by Rajya Sabha MP Mukul Wasnik and which includes Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and newly appointed AICC in-charge Jitendra Singh, Meenakshi Natarajan, Krishna Allavaru, Sachin Rao and Kanhaiya Kumar.
Congress to start 3-days meetings to Wayanad
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, All India Congress Committee preferred secretary and Wayanad MP, will visit her constituency for 3 days from Thursday.
According to a launch, Vadra will visit Sree Seetha Devi Lava Kusa temple and inaugurate a new grama panchayat office at Pulpally. She can even inaugurate a Vanitha Sangamam, a get-together of women working in diverse sectors in Meenangadi grama panchayat and the One School, One Game undertaking of the Wayanad district panchayat in Kalpetta. Later in the evening, she will be able to attend the foundation -laying rite of the proposed township for the survivors of the Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslide in Kalpetta and also visit the Valliyoorkavu temple.
Himachal BJP to protest against ‘mafia raj’
The BJP will organise a demonstration out of doors at the Himachal Pradesh Assembly in Shimla on Thursday against the “mafia raj” and the “deteriorating” law and order in the state. After Congress to start 3-days meetings , The protest will spotlight the impact on of various mafia and the “mafia rule” connects up through friends of the Himachal Pradesh government, BJP state leader Rajiv Bindal stated on Tuesday.
