During the Delhi elections on 5 Feb, the AAP and BJP parties both clash at a polling booth in Seelampur. The AAP-BJP Clash occurs on fake voting done by women in Burqas in ongoing assembly elections. Some of the women voters also claimed that someone else had cast votes on their behalf.
BJP workers claim that there are males and females, that are AAP activists, has been despatched, masked and wear burqas to give fake voting. On this, voters also said that they carry ink-marked fingers and voter ID cards. But they leave votes because someone has already cast it on their behalf.
Delhi police response on Clash
Voting for 70 Assembly constituencies is continue in Delhi currently. As per Election Commission, voter turnout of 19.95 % was recorded till 11 AM. There is highest trend record in North East Delhi around 24.87 %. The record of voting seem in Shahdara is around 23.30%. It has also been recorded the lowest turnout with only 16.46 percent turnout.
AAP party has a voter turnout of 17.56 per cent by 11 AM, as per reports. After the conflict occurs between both parties due to fake voting allegations, the Delhi police start their checking and ensure that no fake voting takes place. The police responded with the more security checks and ensure that no more bogus voting are takes places.
BJP allegations on AAP
BJP alleged AAP, and claim that they bring women from outside to give fake voting on Seelampur seat. Workers from parties starts slogans and cause conflict after these allegations. A BJP worker alleged that person was sent by AAP, who is in mask and burqas, to give fake votes instead of real voters.
As per AAP-BJP Clash reports, “ some voters show the voters IDs and uninked fingers, are not allowed to vote on behalf of other voters.
