Election Controversy in Falta Constituency
New allegations on voting day have increased tensions, with reports of EVM malfunctions and possible tampering coming from Falta. BJP candidate Debangshu Panda has accused the Trinamool Congress of intentionally blocking voters from casting their ballots in favor of the TMC, raising tensions even more.
The Election Commission called the complaint “serious” and ordered a investigation. They said that a repoll conducted if tampering confirmed. This comes amid rising tensions between Khan and Sharma.
Clash Between TMC Candidate and Police Observer
Election Commission sources show that clear instructions were given on April 21 before the first phase of polling. Presiding officers at all booths told to ensure that every candidate button on the EVM is clearly visible and not obstructed by tape, glue, or any other material.
