Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, lost his temper on Wednesday after TMC workers disrupted a road show in the Bali assembly constituency of Howrah district. The event was organized to support BJP candidate Sanjay Singh. Adhikari, who is running for both the Nandigram and Bhabanipur constituencies, was seen criticizing TMC workers as they chanted “Jai Bangla” during the rally.

“I was campaigning peacefully with about 5,000 supporters. But some Trinamool supporters intentionally raised provocative slogans to disturb the atmosphere. I demand the immediate removal of the Bali Police Station OC,” Adhikari said.
High-Stakes Electoral Battles
Adhikari is competing in two constituencies, facing strong TMC candidates in both locations. He is defending Nandigram against TMC’s PabitraKar, while in Bhabanipur, he is up against CM Mamata Banerjee.
