The Bhopal District Court denied anticipatory bail to Advocate Samarth Singh on May 18. His mother, Retired Judge Giribala Singh, received bail on Friday, May 15, 2026, in the case related to the suicide of his wife, Twisha Sharma, who allegedly faced dowry harassment. Additional Sessions Judge Pallavi Dwivedi rejected Samarth’s bail request; he accused of physically and mentally abusing his wife.

New Update in Twisha Sharma Dowry Death Case

Twisha Sharma, a 33-year-old woman living in Noida and a former Miss Pune winner found hanging in her husband’s home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills on May 12. The couple had met through a dating app about five months earlier.

Family alleged in laws for harassment

Family of Twisha Sharma accused the in-laws of ongoing domestic violence and harassment, prompting them to ask for a second post-mortem to determine the actual cause of her death.

The Katara Hills police filed an FIR against Samarth and his mother for dowry harassment and aiding in suicide.
