Vaibhav Suryavanshi once again stepped up when his team needed him most. With the Royals facing a potential batting collapse, the teenager delivered a spectacular counterattack, scoring 96 runs off just 47 balls and bringing his team to a competitive total of over 200.
This fearless performance added to his reputation as a player who consistently shines under pressure. However, despite his efforts, Rajasthan fell short, extending their wait for a second IPL title following their win in the first season.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi performance end in RR heartbreak in IPL
The young player was a key factor in the Royals’ campaign. After the loss, Suryavanshi sat in the dugout near the boundary, staring blankly into the distance. His disappointment was clear as he struggled to hide his feelings, with tears close to breaking through.
This season has firmly established him as one of the tournament’s breakout stars. In 16 matches, Suryavanshi scored 776 runs at an impressive strike rate of 237.30, showing both consistency and thrilling aggression. He remains in the race for the Orange Cap and could end up as the tournament’s top run-scorer if Gujarat Titans’ openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan don’t perform well in the final against RCB.
