The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to sack Team India’s batting and fielding coaches, Abhishek Nayar and T Dilip. The BCCI dismiss Abhishek Nayar following the Rohit Sharma-led side show in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy down below. For the unversed, India lost the score in Test collection to Australia by a 1-3 margin.
In the aftermath of the match and before of the England tour, the BCCI has determined to alleviate Nayar and Dilip from their duties. Along with them, strength and conditioning teach Soham Desai has also been sacked. The trio is unlikely to travel UK for the 5-match Test collection against England in June.
Why BCCI dismiss Abhishek Nayar
Nayar was appointed as the batting coach 8 months ago, while as Dilip has been with the Indian team because 2021. India’s coaching staff modified after Gautam Gambhir took over as India’s head coach last year. With him, Gambhir introduced a big bite to his education staff, which includes Nayar, Ryan ten Doeschate, and Morne Morkel.
However, the BCCI had to convey in the NCA and India A coach Sitanshu Kotak because the batting coach for the white-ball tasks following India’s struggles in home Tests against New Zealand and away towards Australia. According to reports, for now, Ryan ten Doeschate will take over the duty of the fielding train whilst South Africa trainer Adrian Le Roux is ready to be named India’s energy and conditioning teacher. He is currently with the Punjab Kings in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Team India has a hectic timetable after the IPL, as, after the England tour, they’ll face Bangladesh away from home in six white-ball matches in August. This is reason why BCCI dismiss Abhishek Nayar.
