Is PV Sindhu signing a billion-dollar agreement of ₹16 crores with renowned sports equipment company?

India’s double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu is on the verge of entering into a landmark endorsement agreement of ₹16 crores more in, four years’ time, which will have a ripple effect across the sports industry. Based on reports, Sindhu is in talks with each of the two global companies for sports equipment with amounts of 4 crore per year. This shift occurs at the close of her previous endorsement with Li-Ning.

Sindhu, a name that is often invoked with much praise in the context of one of India’s finest badminton players, also continues to make headlines even when the results (on the BWF World Tour) are at times erratic. She broke a two-year title drought in December when she won the Syed Modi India International title. However, her 2025 form has been inconsistent, reaching a quarterfinal at the India Open and then being made up at the Indonesia Masters.

Agreement of ₹16 crores with top-rated company will give PV Sindhu a massive boost

However, due to recent challenges, Sindhu is currently the only bright spot for Indian participation in the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships, which will be held in Qingdao, China, from February 11-16. Besides Paris Olympics semifinalist Lakshya Sen, Sindhu will represent the 14-member contingent of the Indian Delegation all hoping to return from the 2023 event in Dubai where they achieved the bronze medal.

The selection of a squad is counterbalanced to consider both experience and recent performance. Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy (men’s singles) and Sindhu and Malvika Bansod (women’s singles), along with the depth of their game, [all 7 complement the players’ perceptions with a secondary group of 7 hockey gamers] are summed up in the four categories.

India’s double teams are also very strong, with men’s doubles represented by Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, and women’s doubles games by Gayatri Gopichand and Creesa Jolly, or by Women’s Asian Slam Olympians Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto.

Indian badminton stands on the cusp of a new era with Sindhu’s new sponsorship opportunities and her tour de force in the Asia Championships. The team will have the chance to show off its talent on a global scale and build national prestige in the sport during the upcoming event.
