As the ICC Championships Trophy 2025 begins next month in Pakistan, the Punjab Police has drawn up a comprehensive security plan to achieve a safe and harmonious competition. The tournament representing one of the most prominent international cricket events, consequently, is going to have an increased level of vigilance, particularly in the host (Lahore and Rawalpindi cities).
For security purposes, 12,564 officers and personnel will work at the venues, comprising 7,618 personnel in Lahore and 4,535 personnel in Rawalpindi. Also, in the Special Branch, 411 officers. are to strengthen operations by covering all the bases. Security arrangements for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 made by the Punjab Police are further complemented by aerial surveillance operations in partnership with the Pakistan Army and Rangers.

Authorities are using high-tech solutions, such as Safe City cameras, to track the roads to stadiums in real time. The objective of the state-of-the-art surveillance system is to prevent all possible undesirable related events and maintain the safety, of players, officials, and fans.
Each of the taking part players will have a state guest rank, and it will be given the uppermost attention by the authorities in the protection of the players. Security preparations are set to be completed over the next few days, which reflects how Pakistan is living up to its duty in supporting the successful and secure staging of the international sports event.
Tournament Highlights and Schedule
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will feature eight teams competing across 15 matches from February 19 to March 9, spanning three venues in Pakistan—Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi—and Dubai.
Hosts Pakistan will meet New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi [13] in the first game of the series, while the high-profile confrontation between bitter rivals Pakistan and India will take place on February 23 in Dubai [17].
The semi-finals will be held on March 4 and 5 and the final on March 9 in Lahore. But if India gets qualified, the final will be shifted to Dubai to give a solution to the neutral ground problem.
