Shubman Gill finally won the toss and chose to bat first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After losing six tosses in a row, Gill’s luck changed at the right moment. India goes in with the same playing XI, while the West Indies made two changes.
Shubman Gill win toss, going to bat against west indies
India dominated the first Test and aims to complete a clean sweep in the two-match series. Their batting unit performed well in Ahmedabad, scoring three centuries and easily overpowering the West Indies attack. The visitors, however, hope to put up a stronger fight in Delhi.
Their top order struggled twice in the first Test, leaving the bowlers with little to defend. Captain Roston Chase and his team need solid partnerships early in the innings to remain competitive.
