Former Bangladesh cricketer Tamim Iqbal has been rushed to the hospital after experience chest pain during a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) 2025 match. The incident occurs during duration of the match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Shinepukur Cricket Club on Monday, March 24 at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan No three Ground in Savar.
Tamim Iqbal felt discomfort during fielding
Tamim went out for the toss before the match, however felt discomfort whilst fielding during Shinepukur’s innings. Thereafter, a medical group rushed for his treatment and a helicopter became also referred to as to fly him out. However, Tamim couldn’t be flown out and as an alternative, he become taken to the Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialised Hospital in Dhaka. Tamim wasn’t in a situation to board the helicopter.
As according to Tariqul Islam, a Mohammedan authentic, “Tamim is presently hospitalised, and his condition are not well for him to be airlifted.”
Tamim shines in Dhaka League
Tamim Iqbal has been in surprising form in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), being the 4th-highest run-scorer in the match. In seven matches, the left-exceeded batter has scored 368 runs at a average of 73.60 and a strike-rate of 102.50 with centuries to his name.
Back on March 9, Tamim’s unbeaten a 125 off 112 balls, laced with 11 4 and 5 sixes, helped Mohammedan beat Partex Sporting Club by seven wickets. In the final match against Brothers Union, the veteran racked up an unbeaten 105 off 96 balls, guiding his team through to a comprehensive 9-wicket win.
