A disturbed video of Indian woman in the police inquiries after catching shoplifting from a target store in the US has gone viral on social media.
The video shared by the account police on YouTube, “When a serial target shoplifter is eventually caught with a red hand,” is released with the title, which is from an incident on January 15, although the video was uploaded four days ago. India today, however, cannot verify the authenticity of the video.
Police caught Indian woman red handed
She was sitting in an inquiry room with a nervous woman, where police officers with folded hands questioned her. She is frightened before the inquiry starts, and within moments, she breaks into tears.
When asked about her primary language, the woman replies, “Gujarati.” Her voice is trembling. While struggling to create herself, she stumbles while speaking. “Where is she from?” An officer asks. “India,” she responds through Sobs.
A employee then show CCTV footage to the officers, pushing the woman in a vehicle without paying. She sees heavy paintings, motivating the police to repeatedly check if she needs medical help.
Police officers leave women with warning
Police officers, then, faced her with the allegation: “You are here because you were caught shoplifting. Do you have any ID?” The Indian woman admits that she stole the items from a store from which she was removed. Crying completely, she begs, “Please leave me. I will never do it again.”
The authorities decide to release her without formal allegations, but warns her about the results of repeating the crime. “We are letting you go for today,” an officer tells her.
