Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Saturday kicked off the first batch of BrahMos missiles made at the BrahMos Aerospace unit in Lucknow.
According to an official statement reported by PTI, this is not just a milestone for the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC); it will also energize India’s goal of becoming self-reliant in defense manufacturing.
Rajnath Singh warning to Pakistan
“Every inch of Pakistani territory is now within reach of our BrahMos. What happened in Operation Sindoor was just a preview. That preview made Pakistan realize what India can achieve,” Singh said at the flag-off ceremony.
“BrahMos is not just a missile. It represents India’s growing domestic capabilities. This combination of speed, accuracy, and power makes BrahMos one of the best missiles in the world. BrahMos has become the backbone of India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force,” he added.
