US President Donald Trump on Wednesday declared May 8 as Victory Day for World War 2, celebrating the 80th anniversary of America’s victory in the Second World War. Trump said that each one of the US World War 2 allies has been celebrating Victory Day.
“I am thrilled to announce that I have signed a proclamation formally designating tomorrow May 8 as a Victory Day for World War 2, celebrating the 80th anniversary of America’s victory in the Second World War. All over the world our World War II allies are celebrating this week,” she said. Trump brought that the US has not joined any party of their own, even if they helped their allies in the past.

“But America has never joined in with the right party of our personal, and the victory was typically done because of country. Whether you need it or not, we got into that warfare and we gained that conflict and we had a range of assistance from a lot of people, numerous outstanding allies. But I expect there might be nobody who might say that we had not been the dominant pressure in that conflict and we did not have a good time,” he said.
Trump deemed it a disservice to the squaddies who fought in the wars, and said that without America, the liberation could not have happened.

“I expect that is an outstanding disservice to the people who lost their lives and people who fought so tough in winning World War II, and also a separate victory day for World War I. We’re going to be doing that too. It was American tanks and ships and trucks and airplanes and service members that vanquished the enemy 80 years ago this week. Without America, the liberation might never have come about. So we ought to pay tribute and homage to the ones people who gave us victory,” Trump said.
