Donald trump released new plans We call it “Gold Card US Visa”. This next visa could ultimately replace the EB-5 investor program. EB-5 visa allows people to get green cards on investment in America. Indians especially the H-1B folks using it over and over again.

There is an important shift in the fresh Gold Card US Visa. It costs $5 million just for one. That’s quite a bundle! Only the Rich are able to get this visa. At one point Trump said the Gold Card US Visas will be around $5 million. It is akin to paying your way into America!

Howard Lutnick the Commerce Secretary doesn’t care for the EB-5 program and He considers it far too inexpensive. Trump wants to cancel it. He wants to shift to using the same Gold Card US Visas. But Lutnick says the EB-5 visa is just nonsense.

What Does ‘Gold Card US Visa’ Mean for Indians?

The EB-5 visa is largely utilized by the wealthy Indians for a US green card. But the $5 million upfront fee to obtain Gold Card US Visas will prevent them from doing so. Not everyone can pay that much.

The EB-5 program began in 1990. This was designed to help the US economy. Generates jobs and has monies flowing in from other countries the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) administers the EB-5 program.

The overhauling of the new Gold Card US Visa program could shake things up a lot. For some, it will complicate the process of going to the US from who knows what proposition.
