Prime Minister Modi started Wednesday with a spiritual visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi. He performed darshan and offered prayers before a day filled with political outreach and infrastructure milestones. After the rituals, Modi seen holding a Trishul and a Damru, symbols rich in religious meaning.
PM Modi attend Massive Roadshow Through Varanasi
The Prime Minister’s visit included a 14-kilometre-long roadshow that attracted large crowds throughout the city. It began at Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) and moved through Lahartara, Kachahri, Ambedkar Chauraha, Chaukaghat, Teliyabag, Lahurabir, and Maidagin before ending at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
Posting on X, PM Modi said, “Har Har Mahadev! I was fortunate to have darshan and perform pooja at Baba Vishwanath Temple in Kashi. Here, I prayed to Lord Bholenath for happiness, prosperity, and a healthy life for all citizens of the country.”
Expressway Launch In hardoi
After his events in Varanasi, Modi set to head to Hardoi to open the ambitious Ganga Expressway. This six-lane greenfield corridor stretches 594 kms and expanded to eight lanes, built at a cost of Rs 36,230 crore.
The expressway expected to be a key connectivity route, linking 12 districts including Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Raebareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj.
