Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Sweden’s Royal Order of Polar Star on Sunday. This is the highest honor given to a Head of Government by Sweden. It marks Modi’s 31st international honor.
Modi Get Sweden’s Highest Honor
The Royal Order of the Polar Star was created in 1748. It recognizes personal efforts for Sweden or Swedish interests, especially in public service and the successful execution of public duties, according to the official website.
Modi arrived in Sweden on Sunday for a two-day visit. His Swedish counterpart, Ulf Kristersson, welcomed him at Gothenburg Airport.
