1) École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne

The university is an independent, privately supported institution with a campus spread in a 124-acre area in the city of Pasadena. The university enrolls 2300 students and 300 faculties and has successfully produced 32 Nobel laureates to date and 39 Nobel Prize alums. 

Established in 1891 as Throop University, it was renamed as California Institute of Technology in 1920.

3) Cornell University
