What can we expect at World Book Fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi?

Nakshatra Expo is attracting people from all walks!

If you want to explore the world, then World Book Fair 2023 is the best place for sure. It has everything from everywhere around the world including books, authors, publishers, and more. It’s different from previous book fairs.

Organised by National Book Trust(NBT) and India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the 31st World book fair 2023 has many things to offer. Nowadays, when we are living more in the virtual world than the real world, then real books bring us back to reality. Hence, it is our prime responsibility to secure our present and future by visiting and promoting such fairs. It started on February 25 th and will end by March 5th. The timing is between 11am to 8 pm at Gate-4 and 10 of Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. So, we have only 2 more days to go.  

A Quick look at Special attractions at World Book Fair 2023

It has a variety of books, activity sessions, stationary, stage programs etc.

It is really marvelous to see authors or their representatives speaking about their verses or poems at World Book Fair. They are meeting you and sharing the signed copies of their books. It is so exciting for writers as well as readers. 

It is good to see separate sections for youngsters to connect and find their choice of writers and books. 

It was open for prior registration  of publishers and authors on January 7 and 8 to participate in the book fair. 

There is a special hall for cultural groups to perform for the public. It has a stage and a lot of decorations to attract the crowd. Artists from different states and countries have registered in advance for stage performance at World Book Fair 2023. 

It caters to a number of events from G20 countries. A huge number of authors and readers from around the world connect with each other to share their creativity through variant events. 

This year’s theme is Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and there is a special space to showcase various talk shows, open mic nights, performance by army and police bands etc 

Entry Fee for the World Book Fair 2023

The general public can purchase tickets for Rs 10 for children and Rs 20 for adults from paytm insider app or website. It is better to book in advance as it needs a lot of information from your side. You can also get it directly at many of the metro stations. 

Schoolchildren, disabled people and senior citizens,  have free entry to the book fair. 

There are many more pavilions including Foreign pavillion, G20 pavillion, NEP pavillion, and children’s pavilion. 

France is the Guest of Honour at the World Book Fair. You can meet the French delegation of 60 and more members. You can look for a large number of French books and their translated versions as well. 

It is to promote the G20 theme and the member countries’ books, and many more. 

It is an exclusive 1000-square-metre Pavilion with an event zone, an Ed-Tech zone, and a presentation area. It is  created by the National Institute of Design.
