MS Dhoni sharpens skills in extended Wankhede session
MS Dhoni trained extensively at the Wankhede nets on Tuesday night, keeping wicket for about half an hour before batting for 30 to 45 minutes against both pacers and spinners.
The 44-year-old, sidelined by a calf strain, seemed to be in good form and moved without noticeable pain. CSK has not confirmed his spot on the team, but his readiness on the field has sparked renewed speculation about his return for the key match against the Mumbai Indians.
Injuries leave CSK seeking stability
CSK’s season has faced interruptions due to injuries. Top run-scorer Ayush Mhatre is out with a hamstring tear, while pacer Khaleel Ahmed is sidelined with a quadriceps injury. These issues have played a part in their eighth-place ranking, alongside MI, with both teams having two wins from six matches.
