The match came down to the wire, with 15 runs needed from the last over as the inexperienced Raj Bawa bowled for MI with Romario Shepherd and Rasikh in the middle. He made mistakes by bowling a wide and a no-ball.
Another wide pitch delivery left RCB needing 10 runs off four balls. Bawa then took the key wicket of Shepherd, caught at backward point, and MI thought they had it won.

The fielder threw the ball to the striker’s end while Rasikh Salam dove to complete the run. The umpires checked for a run-out, but he was safe, helping RCB clinch a memorable win. Earlier, RCB faced pressure as Corbin Bosch and Deepak Chahar took six wickets combined. Bosch was the standout with four wickets, and his first over in the 13th turned the game. Just like his brother Hardik, Krunal Pandya stepped up to keep the team moving. He had shown his value in recent matches and provided the much-needed boost again.
The all-rounder scored 73 runs off 46 balls, battling cramps that limited his movement. Despite this, he continued hitting boundaries and brought the team closer before Allah Ghazanfar dismissed him.
