International Women’s Day 2023: Pledge for a digital solution to gender equality!

Bring Gender equality digitally through empowering women

Nowadays, with the help of technology and innovation, gender equality can easily be practiced. Omen can study online, work online and train online. If they are in villages, they are doing their best by becoming an online tutor, YouTubers, software developers, managers, and so on.

Theme of the Year

As the theme of this IWD, “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality” suggests, women have digital power to express themselves equally through various social media platforms. They can learn and teach with digital mediums without stepping out of their homes. Moreover, knowledge will give them the freedom to fly high in the sky.

Study of myself to get gender equality in all aspects

I have to start with myself. I have seen myself not sharing a beautiful piece with another woman. I am skeptical about my own capability. I have seen men being more cooperative with friends. However, there may be exceptions for every species.

Equality is needed in all aspects, be it physical, mental, financial, social, political, educational, and many more. Give them equal quality and quantity of food. Don’t groom them for marriage only, but give them equal space and time to choose their career and grow mentally, socially, educationally, and financially. If you provide them with a strong foundation, they can be better politicians and can change society, country, and the world.

Women are the best peacemakers

Women can bring peace to the world because they know how to live in harmony. They are trained to live with entirely different people, places, and societies, after marriage. The marriage ceremony is the way to legalize the conduct. Although, women learn from childhood how to live with their neighbors. So, we can expect them as a peace ambassador for family, society, country, or the world. They inherit it from legacy.

What training would you give a woman about living peacefully? She knows how to be silent, but doesn’t know how to speak for herself. If she won’t speak for herself, then how will she speak for her near and dear ones or others? It’s time to teach her to talk about peace on every front, be it her personal life, professional life, marital life, family life, and so on.

Let’s talk to get peace of mind. Don’t judge others on the basis of gender! Since childhood, we are used to hearing that sweets of pure ghee are good even without any shape. Here, boys are considered as pure butter sweets and girls as refined oil sweets. This is the way we have heard in India.

Pledge for gender equality digitally

Though the situation has changed much, yet more needs to be done for gender equality on all levels. I know the situation may be better in other developed countries, but a lot more has to be done for a better life for women of this era.

A large number of women are not able to utilise their skills because they are not allowed to go out and work. If some of them are able to come out of their cage, then they don’t get much respect and pay in comparison with their male counterparts. They compromise at home and office both. If not, people easily tag them as useless or hopeless.

As a woman, take a pledge to support every woman in this world by all means. Let’s help each other emotionally, careerwise, or in any possible way. Don’t blame each other for our shortcomings. Our species has already suffered a lot and don’t make it harder for them. Just be mild with each other, never compare, but share the best you have. I know it’s not that easy to do, but if we try, we succeed. Let’s hope for the best and prepare for the worst, that we are already trained well.

Awareness through digital platforms

Yoga, meditation, dance, music, painting, and drawing helps, but our awareness and alertness to be available for each other are more important than anything else in this world. If we don’t respect and love our gender, how can we expect the same from others? Let’s learn good things from others and try to implement the same for ourselves. Happy women’s day is only possible when we take responsibility for our happiness. Be strong and help other women to be strong in every way to realize gender equality. All the best for future endeavors! If you commit, you can do it!
