The box office revenue for Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail crosses the 50 crore mark. The movie has earned Rs 50.68 crore in net box office collections, the makers announced on Wednesday. Starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar, the film was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada on October 27.

Anurag Pathak’s bestselling novel “12th Fail” follows the journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ’12th Fail’ box office has crossed the 50 crore nett mark in its sixth week, earning Rs 50.68 crore nett, making this content-driven film a resounding success. According to the filmmakers, this real-life tale has not only won hearts, but also performed well at the box office.

The film also stars Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, Sanjay Bishnoi, and Priyanshu Chatterjee.

In spite of its sleeper success, ‘12th Fail’ has been nominated for the Oscars as an independent nomination. It was confirmed by none other than Vikrant Massey before his appearance on Sahitya AajTak 2023. The film has been directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and stars Vikrant Massey in the lead.

VIKRANT MASSEY STRUGGLES-12th Fail box office

On the stage of Sahitya AajTak, Vikrant Massey also spoke about his struggle. During his interview with IndiaToday’s Rahul Kanwal, he revealed that he started his journey in film when he was just 15 years old. According to the student, he was forced to seek employment and did not want his father to be burdened by college fees.

Having started his career in TV, the actor also mentioned that he was a dancer who trained under Shiamak Davar.
