Public sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have slashed the price of 19 KG commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 158, according to sources. As of today, Delhi’s retail price for a 19kg commercial LPG cylinder will be Rs 1,522.
On Raksha Bandhan, the central government reduced the price of domestic LPG by Rs 200 as a gift to women. Each month, LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinder prices are revised on the first day of the month, with the new rates taking effect on September 1.
In August, OMCs slashed the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 99.75.The price of commercial LPG gas cylinders increased by Rs 7 in July
Prior to this hike, there had been two consecutive price cuts for commercial LPG cylinders in May and June of this year. In May, OMCs reduced the price of a commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 172 and in June by Rs 83.
Also in April, their prices were reduced by Rs 91.50. Commercial LPG cylinders were raised by Rs 350.50 per unit on March 1 this year, while domestic LPG cylinders were raised by Rs 50 per unit.

Due to local taxes, the LPG cylinder prices in Hyderabad are the highest among metros.
Telangana’s Nirmal district has the highest gas rate at Rs. 980, while Nizamabad’s is Rs. 978.5.
