The govt of Tripura agreed to reserve 33% of any state jobs for all women. The reservation also includes higher educational institutions.
Furthermore, women will get a 3% interest waiver on loans taking admission in Institutions of National Importance.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced several women-oriented initiatives on Women’s day 2022.
Moreover, according to ANI, Mr. Shah said, “women will not get 50% reservation to operate shops in government shopping complexes or markets.”
Additionally, 50% of venture capital funds reservation is for promoting startups by women.
Initiatives by the Tripura govt
Mr. Shah said, “this initiation of women welfare by CM Biplab Kumar Deb shall benefit everyone in Tripura.”
This year the theme given by the UN for women’s day is “gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”
The initiative by the Tripura govt for women is a stepping stone for the journey ahead to gender equality.
Furthermore, on Tuesday, the Union Home Minister laid the foundation stone of National Forensic Sciences University at Agartala Campus.
He further added, “this is the first campus of such a science university in the whole of North-East, which includes UG-PG courses like narcotic forensics.”
Further achievements of the Tripura govt
While addressing the fourth anniversary of the BJP-IPFT govt in NE state, Amit Shah says the Biplab Deb’s administration ended the political violence.
He further added that under the Tripura govt, farmer per capita income soared to Rs 1.3 lakh along with doubled earnings.
Mr. Shah also announced a dip of 30% in heinous crimes in Tripura.
Furthermore, the conviction rates increased from 5% to 53% under the Tripura govt.
Additionally, he says, “Agartala has been connected with the rest of the country through rail. A total of 542 km of national highways have been built.”
